My name is Alicia Guidry and I am a 23 year old self managed model who has not only great but as well as high expectations of myself within the modeling industry. I have sooo many things I want to accomplish. Within the past few years modeling was far from my mind of pursuing because I thought I didn't have what it took to be one. Due to a recent life changing event I had to go through in the beginning of 2007, it made me re- evaluate the direction I wanted my life to go. That's when I decided to pursuit my secret passion of becoming a model, but I also decided if I was going to do this I was going to push myself to the top, whatever it took. To keep me humble, content and focused within every business venture I push myself in believing everyday that as long as I put all trust in God, I will be sure to make my ladder greater than my past. With that focus, my blessing shall come in due time!!!
I would like to get into acting, hosting a show if possible, become a known party promoter/ thrower (if that's even what you call them...lol), I would love to do some print work, runway work for clothing/shoes/ jewelry companies.... I just want to be known to do everything that I either chase or gets thrown my way. I want my name a house hold name of an accomplished model that came from the bottom to the top. I am extremely determined and committed to modeling and pursuing the other avenues that may come with it...having no agency nor management team behind me, I have accomplished alot within the 8 months that I have been modeling. I am some what of a "Rookie of the Year" in the modeling industry of Chicago.
As of now I am working on being a (if not the) Spokesmodel for 2 non- for profit agencies... one called Black Girls Rock! .... Founded by DJ Beverly Bond and based out of New York, they are a group that goes out a speaks out to young ladies of all ethnicities in regards to the options they have in life to pursuit and to not limit themselves based upon their "hard" lives.... another founded by Cristal Steverson aka "Serious" of Flavor of Love and Charm School called BecomeARoleModel.org.... another group who makes a difference through models to teach not only the adult society but as well as the children that idealizes the lifestyle the entertainment industry can provide and to teach them that if they dream to make it in the industry and eventually do... to ALWAYS give back!
Well, I think I've said alot, but I just wanted you to get an understanding that although I am not a celebrity as of yet... through the support I have from my own city, family, friends and from others throughout the U.S. that are already in the big leagues, I am seen as someone to look out for and work with.. because I am an extremely ambitious young lady with an extremely intelligent mind that at least got me this far on my own.
